What Is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding means taking action to protect students from harm and promote their physical and mental well-being.
When we talk about a culture of safeguarding, we mean our entire school community’s commitment to protecting students’ health, well-being, and safety. This involves fostering an environment of open and supportive communication, in which concerns can be raised and addressed appropriately and the ongoing welfare of students and staff is prioritised.
To achieve this, we follow a comprehensive set of policies, procedures, and training programmes, including safer recruitment practices, partnerships between families and the school, safeguarding education across the curriculum, staff training and supervision, collaboration with appropriate support organisations, procedures for recognising and reporting concerns, and a commitment to openness and transparency.

Across all these activities, a comprehensive set of policies and procedures is in place to safeguard and protect children. In addition, all staff and school leaders across our network receive ongoing training, equipping them with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond appropriately to different forms of abuse.
